In 2008 kwam de Britse theatergroep Foolish People het stuk “Terra: Extremitas” spelen in Nederland. Het hele project moest een multimediaspektakel worden dat zijn weerga niet kende. Daarom werden er ook stripmakers uitgenodigd om strips te maken rond het thema van het stuk. Dat thema was de invloed van fictie op de realiteit en in het bijzonder het tot leven komen van die fictie.

Ik schreef twee scenario’s die beiden geaccepteerd werden. “Wishful Drinking”, dat u hieronder kan lezen, werd door Swahili getekend en “Steam to Ashes”, dat u hier kan vinden, door Margreet de Heer.

De strips werden gebundeld in het programmaboekje en uitgedeeld aan het publiek in Nederland en in de andere landen waar het stuk gespeeld werd.

Deze strip werd ook gepubliceerd in P@per nr. 8 in februari 2009.

In 2008 the Brittisch theatre group Foolish People came to The Netherlands to play the piece “Terra: Extremitas”. The goal of the project was to reach out to other media so they invited comic makers to contribute comics to the project. The theme of the project was the influence of fiction on reality and, more specific, fictional characters coming to life to meet their makers.

I wrote two comics that both got accepted. You can read “Wishful Drinking”, drawn by Swahili, here on this page and “Steam to Ashes”, which was drawn by Margreet de Heer, here.

The comics were collected in the program and handed out to the public in all countries were the play was performed.

This comic was also published in P@per #8 in Februari 2009.
